First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested whether a low-level laser treatment is practical for treating painful mouth sores caused by chemotherapy or radiation in children. The researchers wanted to see if they could use the laser on all mouth sores at least three times in the first week. 22 children with cancer took part. The goal was to gather information for a future larger study on whether the laser actually helps heal sores and reduce pain.
