Laser zaps stubborn heart blockages where balloons fail
NCT ID NCT07206082
Summary
This study is testing a special laser to treat severely hardened or blocked heart arteries that cannot be opened with standard balloon procedures. It will include 230 patients with these tough blockages to see if the laser is safe and effective at opening the artery so a stent can be placed. Researchers will track how well the laser works during the procedure and monitor patients' health for one year afterward.
