First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tests whether a probiotic called Lactobacillus plantarum can help treat psoriasis by restoring the natural balance of bacteria on the skin. About 184 adults with mild-to-moderate psoriasis will receive either the probiotic or a placebo for several weeks. Researchers will measure skin moisture, take photos, and track any side effects to see if this approach is safe and effective.
