First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests whether a 28-day course of L-Citrulline syrup can reduce death and serious complications in children aged 1 month to 5 years who are hospitalized with fever and identified as high-risk by a rapid biomarker test. About 888 children in Mozambique and Ethiopia will receive either the supplement or a placebo. The goal is to improve survival and prevent long-term health problems.
