First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looked at whether taking L-arginine supplements for 6 weeks can improve exercise ability and kidney function in heart transplant recipients. 30 stable male patients who had a heart transplant at least 6 weeks earlier took part. The goal was to see if this supplement could help with common post-transplant problems like poor exercise capacity and kidney damage from anti-rejection drugs.
