Simple drain timing could speed up knee surgery recovery
NCT ID NCT07342894
Summary
This study looked at whether the timing of removing a surgical drain affects recovery after a total knee replacement. Researchers observed 207 patients to see if removing the drain before or after their first physical therapy session led to fewer complications, less pain, or a shorter hospital stay. The goal was to find the best practice to help patients recover more comfortably after surgery.
