First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding a specific nerve block (biceps femoris short head block) to standard pain management reduces the need for morphine after knee replacement surgery. Sixty adults scheduled for knee replacement will be randomly assigned to receive either the extra nerve block or standard care alone. The main goal is to measure total morphine use in the first 24 hours after surgery.
