First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study looked at whether using a surgical drain after knee replacement surgery helps reduce pain. Sixty patients over age 60 having knee replacement were included. The researchers compared pain levels before surgery and at discharge between those who got a drain and those who did not. The goal was to see if drains actually make a difference in early recovery pain.
