First seen Oct 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tested whether custom-made cutting guides, designed from each patient's CT scan, can improve the accuracy of knee replacement surgery. Researchers compared the positioning of the implants to standard techniques in 20 patients with end-stage knee osteoarthritis. The goal was to see if better alignment leads to fewer disappointed patients and improved quality of life.
