First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at two types of injections for knee osteoarthritis pain: one uses a sugar solution (dextrose) and the other uses a numbing medicine (local anesthetic). About 86 adults with knee pain for at least 3 months will receive one of these injections and be followed for 6 months. Researchers will measure pain and daily function changes to see which works better.
