Sugar water vs. numbing shots: which eases knee pain better?

Summary

This study looks at two types of injections for knee osteoarthritis pain: one with dextrose (a type of sugar) and one with a standard numbing medicine. About 86 adults with knee pain for at least 3 months will receive these injections as part of their routine care. Researchers will track pain and function for 6 months to see which works better.
