Gel injection eases knee arthritis pain in large study

Summary
This study tested whether injecting a gel called polyacrylamide hydrogel into the knee can reduce pain and improve daily function in people with knee osteoarthritis. A total of 387 patients (593 knees) were treated across three medical centers. Pain and function were measured before and 12 months after the injection using standard scales.
