New gel injection eases knee arthritis pain in large study

Summary
This study tested whether a gel injection (polyacrylamide hydrogel) into the knee joint can reduce pain and improve daily function in people with knee osteoarthritis. 387 patients (593 knees) were treated across three medical centers. Results showed that the injection helped ease pain and improve movement over 12 months.
