First seen Mar 12, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tested whether kinesio taping applied to the lower back during labor can reduce pain, improve a mother's confidence in giving birth, and affect her comfort after delivery. 75 women in active labor with low back pain were randomly assigned to receive kinesio taping, a placebo tape, or standard care. Researchers measured pain levels at different stages of labor and after birth.
