NCT ID NCT07459231
First seen Mar 12, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looked at whether placing special elastic tape (kinesio taping) on the lower back during labor can reduce low back pain, improve a mother's confidence in giving birth vaginally, and increase comfort after delivery. 75 pregnant women in active labor were randomly assigned to receive either kinesio taping, a placebo tape, or no tape. Pain was measured at different stages of labor and after birth.
