Blood pressure target may predict kidney outcomes in septic shock
NCT ID NCT04281277
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looked at 80 adults in the ICU with septic shock to see if raising their blood pressure from 65 mmHg to 85 mmHg early on could predict better kidney survival. Researchers measured kidney blood flow and tracked changes in kidney injury stages. The goal was to learn how blood pressure targets affect kidney health, not to test a new treatment.
