First seen Dec 17, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study aims to understand how SGLT2i medications protect the kidneys in people with diabetic kidney disease who are at risk of worsening. Researchers will use special MRI scans and blood tests to measure kidney function, blood flow, and other markers. The study involves 100 adults with type 2 diabetes and early-to-moderate kidney disease. No new treatments are being tested; instead, the goal is to learn more about how these existing drugs work.
