First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested whether a new drug called Keverprazan, taken with amoxicillin for 14 days, can safely clear a first-time H. pylori stomach infection in adults. 264 participants were randomly assigned to receive either Keverprazan or another standard drug (esomeprazole), both with amoxicillin. Researchers measured infection clearance with a breath test one month after treatment and tracked side effects and gut bacteria changes.
