First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looks at how being in ketosis (a state where your body burns fat for energy) affects the way your body processes alcohol and how your brain works. Healthy adults will follow three different 3-day diets and then drink about 4-5 alcoholic beverages. Researchers will use MRI scans to measure brain chemicals and breathalyzers to check alcohol levels. The goal is to understand the interaction between diet, alcohol, and brain function.
