Summary
This study looked at whether taking a ketone supplement for two weeks can improve how the heart uses energy in people with chronic heart failure. Twelve patients with heart failure and reduced pumping function took the supplement or a placebo. Researchers used PET scans and heart tissue samples to measure changes in heart energy use and efficiency.
