New monitor aims to stop dangerous diabetes complication
NCT ID NCT07421518
Summary
This study is testing whether a special education plan using a continuous ketone monitor can help lower the risk of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), a serious complication, in adults with type 1 diabetes. The research focuses on people who are also taking SGLT2 inhibitor medications, which can increase DKA risk. About 75 participants will wear the monitor and receive either the special education or general guidance to see which approach works better.
