Summary
This study looks at whether giving a ketone ester drink to people with sepsis-related heart weakness can improve heart function and blood flow. Researchers will compare the drink to a placebo in 12 ICU adults. The goal is to see if ketones, which may be a more efficient fuel for the heart, can help stabilize patients.
