NCT ID NCT07497139

First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at children with sepsis, a severe infection that can cause organ failure, to understand how often heart injury occurs and what predicts it. Researchers will monitor 84 critically ill children aged 1 month to 18 years using blood tests and heart ultrasounds. The goal is to better identify heart problems early, not to test a new treatment.
