Summary

This study tests whether a ketone ester drink can improve heart function in 12 intensive care patients with sepsis-induced cardiomyopathy. Researchers will measure heart performance using ultrasound and blood pressure readings after giving the drink or a placebo. The goal is to see if ketones, which may be a more efficient fuel for the heart, can provide temporary hemodynamic support.
