First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This pilot study will test whether a high-fat, low-carbohydrate (ketogenic) diet can help reduce symptoms of bipolar disorder in 100 adults living in rural Alabama. Participants will continue their usual treatments while adding the diet. The goal is to see if this affordable, food-based approach can improve symptom control and metabolic health, offering a new option for those with limited access to care.
