NCT ID NCT05639322

First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This pilot study tested whether combining ketamine with psychotherapy (cognitive behavioral therapy) helps people with chronic nerve pain more than either treatment alone. 30 adults with moderate-to-severe neuropathic pain were randomly assigned to receive ketamine, psychotherapy, or both. The main goal was to see if the combination is feasible and safe, and to measure changes in pain intensity and interference.
