First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 26, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tests whether a single low dose of ketamine, given in the emergency department, is safe and practical for adults (ages 18-65) who are having serious suicidal thoughts. Researchers will monitor side effects and ask staff about their experience. The goal is to see if ketamine can quickly reduce suicidal thinking while patients wait for further psychiatric care.
