Doctors test ketamine on brain injury patients

NCT ID NCT06062628

Summary

This small, early-stage study aims to understand how a single dose of ketamine affects brain pressure and oxygen levels in patients with severe traumatic brain injury. Researchers will monitor 10 critically ill patients who already have special brain monitors in place. The goal is to gather basic safety and effect data to see if ketamine could be a useful sedative option for these patients in the future.
