Eye shape study seeks clues to keratoconus progression
NCT ID NCT05676580
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study follows 200 people with keratoconus, a condition that thins and bulges the cornea, for two years. Researchers will track eye shape, thickness, vision, and tear proteins to see how the disease progresses. Some participants will have no treatment (just advice to avoid eye rubbing), while others will have cross-linking or corneal ring surgery. The goal is to better understand risk factors and how the disease changes over time.
