Fermented milk peptides tested to help failing kidneys
NCT ID NCT07260292
Summary
This study tested whether a supplement made from kefir (a fermented milk drink) could help people with moderate to advanced chronic kidney disease. For three months, 165 participants took either the kefir peptide supplement or a placebo. Researchers measured if it improved kidney function, reduced protein in urine, or lowered body-wide inflammation.
