Fermented milk peptides tested to slow kidney decline
NCT ID NCT07260292
Summary
This study tested whether a supplement made from kefir (fermented milk) peptides could help people with moderate to advanced chronic kidney disease. For three months, 165 participants took either the kefir supplement or a placebo. Researchers measured kidney function, inflammation, and protein in urine to see if the supplement could help control the disease.
