NCT ID NCT03783416

First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study is testing whether a drug called ixazomib, which is already used for a type of cancer, is safe for people with multiple sclerosis (MS). The drug targets certain immune cells that may drive MS. About 72 adults with relapsing-remitting or progressive MS will take either ixazomib or a placebo for up to two years. The main goal is to check for side effects, but researchers will also look for signs that the drug might reduce disease activity.
