NCT ID NCT07497659
First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a technique called ischemic preconditioning (briefly restricting blood flow to the arm) can lower the heart's workload after resistance exercise in women aged 60 and older. Thirty physically active women completed two exercise sessions—one with the real technique and one with a fake version. The goal was to see if this simple method could make exercise safer by reducing blood pressure and heart strain.
