First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looked at 147 people with kidney stones who had a positive urine culture before surgery. They were given antibiotics and then re-tested to see if a negative culture was needed to prevent infections after the procedure. The goal was to find out if waiting for the culture to turn negative is necessary.
