Iron pills after gastric sleeve: a simple way to avoid anemia?

Summary
This study looks at whether taking extra iron pills after sleeve gastrectomy surgery can prevent iron deficiency anemia better than a standard multivitamin alone. About 66 adults having the surgery will be split into two groups: one gets an extra daily iron pill, the other only a multivitamin. Researchers will check blood iron and anemia levels before surgery and at 3 and 6 months after.
