Summary
This study tests a group training program called Positive Event Training (PET) for teens aged 12-16 who are experiencing emotional distress. The program teaches teens how to remember and look forward to positive events to boost their daily happiness and resilience. Researchers will measure changes in positive emotions, anhedonia (loss of pleasure), and emotional distress using daily diaries. The goal is to see if this simple, user-friendly approach can help vulnerable youth feel better and prevent depression.
