First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tested whether putting the numbing medicine lignocaine into the abdomen during open gynecologic surgery (like hysterectomy) reduces pain and the need for morphine afterward. 112 women took part. The goal was to see if this approach provides better pain control with fewer side effects than standard care.
