Summary
This study tested whether putting lignocaine (a numbing medicine) inside the abdomen during gynecologic open surgery can reduce pain afterward. 112 women having surgery like hysterectomy or cystectomy took part. The goal was to see if this approach lowers pain scores and the need for morphine, which has side effects like nausea and dizziness.
