Summary
This study tests whether a single dose of insulin given as a nasal spray can reduce cravings and the effects of alcohol in people with alcohol use disorder. Forty non-treatment-seeking adults will receive either insulin or a placebo spray, then be exposed to alcohol-related cues and given a drink. The goal is to see if the spray is safe and affects how the brain responds to alcohol.
