First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether intermittent fasting (eating only during an 8-hour window each day) could reduce seizures in 22 adults whose epilepsy did not respond to medication. Some participants also took medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), a type of fat. The goal was to see if these approaches safely lower seizure frequency over 12 weeks.
