Can lowering blood pressure more after a stroke save brains?
NCT ID NCT07350564
First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tests whether keeping blood pressure very low (below 120 mmHg) after a stroke procedure called thrombectomy helps patients recover better than standard care (140-180 mmHg). About 910 adults who had a major stroke will be randomly assigned to one of the two blood pressure targets. The goal is to see if tighter control reduces disability, bleeding in the brain, and death over three months.
