First seen Jan 14, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests whether intensive dietary counseling from a dietitian can help women with gestational diabetes control their blood sugar without needing insulin. About 214 pregnant women with gestational diabetes will receive either standard care or extra nutrition training and support. The goal is to see if the intensive approach reduces the number of women who require insulin therapy during pregnancy.
