First seen Dec 17, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests a new care model for veterans with opioid use disorder that combines infectious disease screening and treatment with their regular medication-assisted therapy in a single clinic visit. The goal is to make it easier for veterans to get tested and treated for infections like HIV, hepatitis C, and sexually transmitted infections. The study will enroll 60 veterans from New York VA clinics to see if this integrated approach improves screening rates.
