First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tests whether doing special breathing exercises (inspiratory muscle training) before a lung transplant can help patients recover more quickly after surgery. About 90 adults with lung disease who are waiting for a transplant will either do these exercises or receive usual care. The goal is to see if the exercises strengthen breathing muscles, reduce time on a ventilator, and improve quality of life.
