Simple breathing exercises could fight daytime fatigue in sleep apnea patients

NCT ID NCT06117579

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether a special breathing exercise program (inspiratory muscle training) can reduce daytime sleepiness in adults with obstructive sleep apnea who already use a CPAP machine. About 58 participants will be randomly assigned to add the breathing exercises or continue with CPAP alone. The goal is to see if strengthening the breathing muscles can improve energy and quality of life.
