New blood test could predict transplant complications early

NCT ID NCT07570407

First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests a new, standardized way to measure a type of immune cell called iNKT in the blood of 75 patients who have had a stem cell transplant for leukemia. The goal is to see if the levels of these cells can help predict serious complications like graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) or relapse. Researchers will use a special dried antibody mixture and flow cytometry to count the cells at different times after transplant.
