Summary

This study tests whether taking potassium nitrate (a natural salt) can help people with heart failure exercise better and feel stronger. Researchers will give 75 adults either the nitrate or a placebo daily for 6 weeks, measuring muscle power and oxygen use during treadmill tests. The goal is to see if this simple supplement can ease symptoms and improve daily life.
