New inhaler trial aims to boost oxygen in COPD lungs

Summary

This study tests whether an inhaled medication called Treprostinil (Tyvaso) can help deliver more oxygen to the blood in people with COPD who have low oxygen levels. Ten adults aged 40 and older will use a nebulizer four times daily for four weeks. Researchers will use special MRI scans to measure lung function and oxygen exchange before and after treatment.
