Does inducing labor early affect a Child's future? major 5-Year study aims to find out

NCT ID NCT07330336

Summary

This study will follow children and their mothers for five years to understand the long-term effects of a common pregnancy decision. It compares two approaches for healthy, first-time mothers at 39 weeks: inducing labor or waiting for it to start naturally. The main goal is to see if this choice impacts the child's development at age 5 or the mother's mental and physical health years later.
