NCT ID NCT06469970
First seen Mar 13, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tracks how a small amount of glucose spreads in the body of adults with severe burns (covering at least 30% of skin) during their first four days in intensive care. Researchers measure glucose levels before and after a quick injection to calculate the initial distribution volume of glucose. The goal is to better understand fluid shifts after burns, which could improve care. No new treatment is tested—only observation.
